My first time here and I was pleasantly surprised at how nice the place is. An old, traditional building but with lovely modern rooms and excellent bathrooms. Service was fantastic, wonderful breakfast and if you are lucky enough to do as I did and sit by the Christmas tree, eating a full English, looking out at the snow, you won’t get any better in the area! Lovely traditional decorations throughout but clean and modern and not resting on their laurels. A very pleasant stay.
Went for dinner with Santa 10th Dec.
I can't comment on the rooms as we were not staying there. But boy what a Santa, best in his field by far. Absolutely amazing, highly recommend a visit to see this Santa. His voice, mannerisms and the way he held himself true to the role. Fabulous, highly recommended.
The food was great too and the staff very attentive. I have only dropped a star as they lost it on service. We started our visit with a drink from the bar, finished that and asked for another half way through the meal. It never arrived, loss of profits to the venue as we just finished off the free water on the table. All in all a fabulous experience and hats off to the amazing Santa, made our little boys belief last a bit longer, thank you.
I cannot comment on rooms as we only had a meal for their lunch with Santa event. Nothing was too much trouble the staff were all so helpful and engaging with both the adults and the children. My daughter is very shy but was made to feel at ease around the staf. The food was lovely and plenty of flavour. I am getting married at Kenwick next year and this event secured my confidence that I have made the right choice
We had a very small elopement wedding at Kenwick park after getting engaged there many years prior. We were treat like royalty from start to finish. Sam and all of her team were absolutely amazing, first class service. We stayed in a lodge which was absolutely perfect!
We are already planning our next visit! Cannot recommend enough! Thank you all so much!
Had Christmas dinner and was disappointed esp for the price we paid
Hamhaock terrain was terrible
Raspberry sorbet was the one thing that tasted beautiful
Main roast beef tasted like the sliced beef you get off the deli counter at your local supermarket, and was cold , over cooked Yorkshire pudding, 3 carrots, 3 roast potatoes 2 parsnips is not what I would call a portion , desert was an over done brownie all this for the mind boggling price of £80 per person
Can honestly say should have gone to a chain pub would have eaten better and cost less never again
Had a weekend here as part of a wedding and can say it was lovely. Great venue with nice enough rooms, a tad dated compared to newer venues. Excellent facilities with an adjoining health and fitness building with swimming pool. Breakfast was 7 out of 10 due to food drying out on the hot plates, not being replaced and tea and coffee coming from thermos flasks. No coffee machine with various choices in 2023 is a let down.
Service by the staff was excellent although the car park isn't big enough to accommodate the number of rooms, first come basis...
Stayed several nights here for a friend's wedding. The original room I was in was no good for me so the staff offered to move me with no problems. I absolutely cannot fault the staff, who were nothing but pleasant and kind throughout my stay, they really could not do enough to help. Rooms were clean and well presented, with all the amenities you could want. The pool and spa is fantastic! Breakfast was pleasant enough with a good range of gluten free options. The location is a little awkward to get to by public transport but is totally worth it!
Just been to the spa, nice drive in through the woods, small but adequate car park at the gym / Lesuire centre. The inside of the spa is all very under whelming and lack lustre. The decor is bland, there is no welcoming music etc so I sat there for 20 minutes not very hopeful. I then had an Indian Head massage which was thankfully lovely! It was very relaxing and I felt a lot better afterwards.
